Wickes is a national chain of DIY retail outlets. Wickes makes up 30% of Group sales and 20% of Group operating profit. Travis Perkins acquired Wickes in 2005 and the company now operates from 182 stores.

Our customers

Wickes stores are designed to appeal to tradesmen, who undertake general repairs, maintenance and improvement projects to households and to serious DIY customers who carry out more complex DIY projects. These customers are more demanding than general DIY customers in terms of service, quality and price. Wickes is also focusing on its traditionally strong, trade customer base due to the increasing trend towards 'Do It For Me' from 'Do It Yourself'. The majority of Wickes' DIY competitors are moving towards the 'softer' side of DIY including furniture, decorative accessories and soft furnishings.
