Career Or Bust
Tamsin Shawe
Showroom Manager, City Plumbing
Three years of college, three years of debt. Says it all, doesn't it? The mere thought gave Tamsin Shawe a mega headache. No way was she going to start her working life saddled with a bill that could take decades to pay off.
At eighteen, she had her head screwed on. She wanted a career, she wanted a life and she wanted to get on with it. Now.
Armed with some decent A' levels, Tamsin enrolled on the Management Training Scheme, which slotted right in with her ambition 'to get a career at the end.' Satisfaction was quick to come. Good mates, a laugh and a fantastic support network were only part of the deal. What clinched it were the glowing customers returning to Tamsin's store with beaming smiles, just to say 'thanks very much' for a bathroom she had sold them. It gave her the buzz she dreamed of.
Tamsin doesn't care if it sounds cheesy but this job really has given her something to get up for. And for that, she's forever indebted.
